Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how FROU collects, uses, stores, and protects information through froufits.com, the FROU notify form, and FROU's Instagram messaging experience for @frou.fits.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information needed to provide the requested experience.

• Notify list information, such as the email address you submit and the timestamp of submission.
• Instagram messaging information, such as your Instagram-scoped user ID, message timestamp, message direction, and data included in webhook events that Meta sends to our app.
• Shared Instagram content information, such as a directly shared reel or story URL and related metadata when you send that content to FROU.
• Operational information, such as token usage counts, request status, error logs, and security logs used to operate and debug the service.

How We Use Information

• To respond to Instagram direct messages sent to FROU.
• To determine whether a message contains a directly shared Instagram reel or story.
• To analyze eligible shared content for outfit-related context when this feature is enabled.
• To generate and send relevant style or shopping recommendations when this feature is enabled.
• To maintain the notify list and send launch or product updates if you requested them.
• To secure, debug, measure, and improve the service.

Instagram and Meta Platform Data

FROU uses Meta APIs to receive and respond to messages sent to @frou.fits. We use data received through Meta only to provide the FROU messaging experience, operate the service, comply with Meta Platform requirements, and support user deletion requests. We do not sell Meta Platform data.

LLM and Search Processing

When outfit analysis and recommendation features are enabled, FROU may process eligible shared reel or story information with third-party service providers, including language model, search, hosting, analytics, and infrastructure providers. We use these providers only to perform services for FROU, such as analyzing outfit context, finding similar items, generating a response, and measuring token usage. We do not authorize these providers to use your information for their own marketing.

What We Store

The current production validation system stores notify list entries and operational DM token usage rows. DM token usage rows include only: Instagram-scoped DM user ID, timestamp, incoming or outgoing direction, and tokens used. The current validation system does not intentionally store raw DM text, raw reel or story media, or shopping results.

How We Share Information

We may share information with:

• Meta, as necessary to receive and send Instagram messages through Meta APIs.
• Service providers that host, secure, store, analyze, or operate the service for FROU.
• Authorities or other parties when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or to prevent abuse.

We do not sell personal information.

Retention

Notify list entries are retained until you ask us to delete them or until they are no longer needed. Operational DM token usage logs are retained for accounting, debugging, and abuse prevention unless deletion is required or requested. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Your Choices and Deletion Requests

You can request access to or deletion of information associated with you by emailing team@froufits.com. For Instagram messaging data, include your Instagram handle and the approximate date of your interaction so we can locate the relevant records. You can also review our data deletion instructions.

Children

FROU is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

International Processing

FROU and its service providers may process information in the United States and other locations where we or our providers operate.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
